Hockey Canada and the Dr. Tom Pashby Sports Safety Fund invites coaches, trainers, safety people, therapists, team managers, parents, players (over the age of 16), physicians and medical professionals, to the Hockey Canada Concussion Seminar on Saturday, November 13th, 2010.

The Hockey Canada Concussion Seminar is an all day event to be held at:
The Westin Hotel, Montreal Ballroom
270 Saint-Antoine Ouest,
Montreal, PQ

The seminar will feature personal concussion stories as well as up-to-date information on the diagnosis, treatment and return to play protocol. Other highlights include the following topics:

• Diagnosis, management and prevention of concussions
• Return to play guidelines
• Psychological pressures to return to play by peers, parents and team officials
• Trainers perspective
• Mouth guards in hockey
• Protective equipment
• Personal stories
• On ice trauma
• Undiagnosed concussion - at home parental guide
